HistoryWattson Systems has over 20 years of experience in the development of industrial-grade touch interface systems and distributed computing networks for enterprise and field applications. 2003 — PAL System Version III ReleaseWattson Systems announces the release of PAL System Version III, featuring improved system stability, expanded hardware support, and updated interface tools for PAL-compatible workstations. 2002 — Expanded TouchPAL DeploymentThe TouchPAL interface system has been deployed across additional partner platforms, extending its use in workstation and embedded computing environments. 2001 — PAL Computer Series UpdateSystem updates have been issued for the PAL Computer Series, improving peripheral compatibility and operational stability across supported configurations. 1994 — PAL System Standardization InitiativeWattson Systems has introduced updated PAL System standards to improve consistency across deployed workstation environments. The initiative focuses on interface uniformity and hardware integration improvements. 1993 — Wattson Systems Web Information Site ExpansionWattson Systems expands its Internet-based information services with a structured web document repository, providing public access to product specifications, software updates, and corporate announcements. The new system improves accessibility to technical documentation through standard browser-based navigation and supports cross-referencing of PAL System and TouchPAL resources. 1989–1992 — Systems Integration and Network Transition PeriodDuring this period, Wattson Systems expanded the integration of PAL-based systems across industrial and enterprise platforms while beginning early adoption of network-based information services for technical documentation and system support. This phase marks the transition between isolated workstation deployments and distributed information access infrastructure. 1987 — System Integration Partnership with Mashiko MotorsWattson Systems announces a strategic systems integration partnership with Mashiko Motors to deploy the PAL Operating System within next-generation business vehicle platforms. Under the agreement, PAL System software will be integrated into Mashiko Motors’ Condor series vehicle control architecture, enabling unified management of onboard computing systems, diagnostic interfaces, and environmental monitoring subsystems. The collaboration includes evaluation of TouchPAL interface modules for use in operator control stations, providing direct interaction with vehicle systems through PAL-compatible workstation terminals. Initial deployment will focus on prototype integration and field testing within controlled operational environments. 1985 — Touch Interface Evaluation ProgramThe Touch Interface Evaluation Program continues within controlled testing environments. Early PAL-compatible input systems are undergoing calibration and operational stress testing. 1983 — PAL Interface System Prototype TrialsWattson Systems has begun prototype trials of the PAL (pressure actuated layer) Interface System within select workstation environments. The system remains experimental and is intended for operator evaluation under controlled conditions. 1981 — Human Interface Research ExpansionThe Human Interface Research division has expanded its studies into pressure-based input systems and adaptive display technologies for industrial computing environments. 1979 — Foundational Operations EstablishedWattson Systems, founded by Sebastian Watts, establishes initial operations in Palo Alto, California, focusing on computing systems research and industrial interface development. |
